Chip Shealy, a vice president with CBRE, has achieved the SIOR Office Specialist designation awarded by the Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS®. The Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS® is the leading global professional office and industrial real estate association. The SIOR designation is a professional achievement for highly qualified commercial real estate practitioners with a strong transactional history in brokerage, fee-based services, or executive management.

To achieve the SIOR designation, Mr. Shealy had to complete at least five years of creditable experience in the highly specialized field of office real estate; met stringent education requirements; and demonstrated professional ability, competency, ethical conduct, and personal integrity.

In addition to the SIOR designation, Mr. Shealy also received the 2017 Realtors® of Distinction - Commercial Circle award from the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors, which recognizes the top 10% of producing Charleston Realtors®.

Mr. Shealy serves the specialized needs of tenants and owners in Charleston’s office market. He focuses on leasing, development, acquisition and disposition of office properties in Charleston and is part of a team working with a diverse group of building owners and companies to optimize each client’s needs and values. He has been involved in multiple sale and leasing transactions of commercial properties in the Charleston area of almost 1.4 million sq. ft. grossing over $113 million since joining CBRE in 2012.

Individuals who hold the SIOR designation are top producers in the commercial real estate field and are represented in more than 630 cities in 29 countries around the world. SIOR enforces a strict code of ethics and required designees to complete its ethics course within their first three years of membership.
