Owner occupiers and investors tipped to compete for Olympic Drive site

A Western Sydney tarp repairer business, Nans Tarps, is set to reap more than $3 million from the sale of its Lidcombe site after 42-years of ownership. 

The 506sqm land parcel at 25 Vaughan Street has three street frontages and includes an existing 310sqm freestanding building that is currently used as a warehouse and office facility. The family business will continue to run at a new location. 

CBRE’s Robert Dowdy is steering the campaign, with the auction scheduled for July 18, 2023. 

“Due to a lack of freestanding buildings on the market, I’m expecting owner occupiers and investors to throw their hat in the ring for this site,” Mr Dowdy said.

“The location is key and will drive interest due to direct access to all the major arterial roads such as Olympic Drive, Parramatta Road and Silverwater Road. It is also a five-minute walk to Lidcombe Railway Station and shops which is important for staff and customers.”

Mr Dowdy said the site would suit a range of groups, including builders, tile companies, painters, mechanics, warehouse and retail users, underpinned by its container access and three frontages that provide significant signage exposure.
