Matthew Vance

Matt Vance serves as Senior Director and Americas Head of Multifamily Research for CBRE. Matt is also a Senior Economist with the CBRE Econometric Advisors—the firm’s data science and forecasting arm. His work is grounded in economic theory and designed to support a wide range of client investment strategies and market positioning.

In previous roles, Matt has led CBRE’s research and thought leadership platform across the U.S. Midwest, Southwest and Mountain States regions. Before joining CBRE in early 2015, Matt held a research position with Real Capital Solutions (RCS), a highly entrepreneurial real estate investment management company. Prior to RCS, Matt was an instructor of economics at the University of Colorado Boulder.

Matt is currently a PhD candidate with the University of Reading’s Center for Real Estate and Planning. He earned his master’s degree in economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder—as well as a B.S. with a double major in mathematics and statistics, and a B.B.A in business economics from Grand Valley State University.
