Australian Office Footprint Analysis

The return to office has been slower than expected in Australia, given multiple waves of COVID-19 as well as employees embracing hybrid working. However, corporates are getting a better understanding of future office needs which has meant an acceleration in leasing deal activity in H1 2022. This analysis has found that smaller tenants are generally expanding when making a leasing decision, whereas the opposite is occurring for larger occupiers.
