Experience

Kate Heaney joined CBRE in 2013 as the Global Alliance Director for the Macquarie account, before moving into her current role as Pacific Head of Client Care in 2016. A member of the Pacific Executive Committee, Kate is also CBRE’s executive lead on Build to Rent (BTR), a bourgeoning asset class in the Australian property sector. Over the past 18 months, Kate has built and led the Client Care program and BTR Committee, coordinating and overseeing CBRE’s BTR activity for the region. 

As Head of Client Care, Kate is responsible for providing our clients with optimum service and results, ensuring best practice client care across the firm. By focusing on better understanding our clients’ needs, Kate guarantees clients receive the best support and services available. Kate continues to build and drive client performance and relationship growth by working closely with all business lines.

CBRE’s Client Care program is a priority focus for the organisation. It ensures we provide unmatched services to clients, encompassing superior communications, advisory and thought leadership. The program provides a best practice approach to deepening client relationships and developing a better understanding of individual needs. Professional Background

Before joining CBRE, Kate held senior positions with Macquarie; most recently as the region lead for Business Services Division for Australia and New Zealand. Prior to this, Kate was the General Manager of a boutique management consultancy firm. Her career commenced in construction and project management with some of Australia’s leading organisations. 

Kate’s experience includes managing large teams and complex projects across Australia, New Zealand and EMEA, including the full spectrum of real estate, human resources and corporate services. Her roles have been varied, comprising lease management, projects, facilities management, guest relations, procurement, employee relations and recruitment. Throughout her career, Kate has regularly provided strategic advice on a diverse range of complex real estate and employment initiatives, with full P&L accountability.
