Wayne Bunz is National Director of CBRE Hotels Capital Markets and one of Australia’s most experienced hotel investment sales professionals, specialising in major hotel and resort transactions across Australia and the broader Asia Pacific region.
With more than 44 years’ experience in the hospitality industry and 23 years dedicated to hotel investment sales, Wayne has transacted in excess of $7.5 billion in hospitality assets. His experience spans landmark 4 and 5-star hotels and resorts, major institutional investment transactions and complex hotel sales on behalf of leading domestic and international owners.
Throughout his career, Wayne has advised a broad range of institutional investors, private capital, hotel owners and operators, with an extensive network of active hospitality investors across Australia and key offshore capital markets throughout Asia.
Since joining CBRE Hotels in 2011, Wayne has led and been involved in many of the country’s most significant hotel transactions, including the $178 million Sofitel Brisbane Central, $170 million ibis & Novotel Melbourne Central, $130 million Park Hyatt Melbourne and $96 million Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise.
Wayne’s extensive transaction experience, deep understanding of hotel investment fundamentals and longstanding relationships with domestic and international capital provide clients with strategic advice throughout the entire transaction process, from positioning and pricing through to buyer engagement, negotiation and execution.
