Ash Nicholson is National Head of Government at CBRE. She leads the firm’s government growth strategy, working with teams across the business to deepen client relationships, identify opportunities and bring together the right expertise for complex projects and major pursuits. Her remit spans growth strategy, executive stakeholder engagement and client development, connecting CBRE’s capabilities with the evolving priorities of government.
Ash works across government, property and place, aligning commercial property expertise with broader priorities including infrastructure, housing, precincts, economic development and place. She advises senior leaders and translates policy, market and stakeholder dynamics into practical strategic direction. Ash is particularly effective where the path is not yet clear, priorities are competing and strong alignment is needed to move an opportunity forward. Her focus is on achieving strong commercial outcomes while supporting government’s wider economic, cultural and community objectives.
Ash brings this perspective to a range of board and advisory roles. She is Co-Chair of the City of Sydney’s Nightlife and Creative Industries Advisory Panel, a member of the NSW Government’s 24-Hour Economy Advisory Council, and serves on the boards of Museums of History NSW, City Recital Hall, Brand X and YCK Laneways. She is also a member of the Property Council of Australia’s Precincts and Social Infrastructure Committee. These roles reflect her commitment to cultural infrastructure and to shaping places that deliver commercial, community and cultural value.
