David Kelley serves as Senior Economist for CBRE Research. David is responsible for helping internal and external clients make real estate decisions by providing forward-looking data and analysis. He focuses on the Americas industrial market, producing forecasts and thought leadership that guide leasing, development and investment decisions.
David's research covers both the broad industrial market and the segments where good data is hardest to find, including industrial outdoor storage and the effect of data centers on industrial real estate. He works with brokers, occupiers and investors on market-specific analysis and portfolio strategy, and he builds the models behind CBRE Econometric Advisors' industrial forecasts.
Before joining CBRE, David served as Director of Research and Strategy for the Americas at UBS Global Real Assets, covering macroeconomics and commercial real estate investment strategy. At UBS he worked directly with portfolio managers, investors and investment banking teams. Earlier in his career, David was an economist at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Growing up in southeastern Kentucky, David is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Master of Science in Finance. He lives in the Atlanta area with his wife and two sons.
