Mars is the Director of Retirement and Healthcare in Victoria for CBRE, specialising in valuing Residential Aged Care, Retirement Villages, Medical Centres, and Hospitals. He has previously valued a wide range of asset classes in the industry, which include valuing child care centres, industrial, retail, and commercial property. Mars has extensive experience in the property industry, which includes his time as a residential real estate agent earlier on in his career.
The early years of his valuation career were at local government level, valuing a wide array of assets from residential, commercial, industrial and retail. Upon obtaining his qualification as Certified Practising Valuer, he has dedicated his career into commercial property valuation at Fitzroys from 2010-2016.
From January 2019, he was appointed by CBRE to head up the Retirement and Healthcare department in Victoria. Mars has been successful in growing the business from strength to strength, increasing CBRE’s market share in Victoria within this specialised market. In 2021, he was awarded a State Achievement Award and recognised by CBRE as a ‘Market Leader’ in his industry.
