Sam specialises in the valuation of permanent tree (e.g. citrus, stonefruit, pome fruit, almond) and small crop assets, protected cropping (e.g. glasshouse) sites and other horticultural development, as well as pastoral grazing holdings, dairies and both irrigated and dryland cropping properties. His geographic focus typically encompasses Victoria, Tasmania and south-western New South Wales.

Sam has experience with the following:

  • Vacant Possession, Leased Investment (Encumbered), Market Rental and Insurance Replacement Cost assessments.
  • Financial Modelling: Market/Direct Comparison, Income Capitalisation and Discounted Cash Flow (operational & leased) approaches, as well as the consideration of EBITDA multiples.

Sam’s professional services are principally provided for internal planning and family succession, first mortgage security, financial reporting, acquisition/disposal due diligence and stamp duty purposes, and he has regular involvement in the valuation of both freehold and leased water entitlements in the Southern Murray Darling Basin.
