Tim has over 25 years’ experience in the real estate, property valuation and finance industries, with extensive experience in residential property valuation and risk management.
Prior to CBRE, Tim was head of Property Services at Genworth (Helia) where he was responsible for managing property and valuation related risks across Australia. This role also involved managing a team of valuers, implementing policies and procedures to mitigate exposure to property, market and valuation risk, completing valuation audits for major lenders, implementing policies and procedures for managing the sale process of mortgagee in possession properties and providing training and advice for internal and external credit staff.
Tim was also responsible for assessing the suitability of alternate valuation products and systems and providing advice on appropriate policies and procedures for implementation.
Prior to this Tim was a residential valuer completing residential mortgage, mortgagee in possession and retrospective valuations.
Tim has worked closely with industry stakeholders on various initiatives including the development of the inaugural Australian Banking and Finance Industry (ABFI) Residential Valuation Standing Instructions.
With a strong interest in innovation within the valuation industry, Tim believes that ongoing product and process innovation is vital to ensure valuers continue to be a key component of the constantly evolving mortgage lending process.
