CBRE recognised at LFRA gala awards

CBRE has secured two wins at the 2023 Large Format Retail Association (LFRA) Gala Awards.

The awards program is designed to celebrate the industry's achievements throughout the year, as well as recognising those who have made a significant contribution to the industry or emerging leaders within the sector.

Anita Broers won the title of Centre Manager of the Year in recognition of her management of three centres on behalf of Harvey Norman. Springvale, Bendigo and Taylors Lakes Homemaker centres which cover 160,000sqm in combined GLA and have a retail retention rate of 96%.

Rebecca Gill took out the title of Marketing Campaign of the Year Associate Member. This award recognises Rebecca’s success in her Wildlife Conservation Experience campaign for Browns Plains Homemaker centre, also on behalf of Harvey Norman

Rebecca was also a finalist in the Best Application of an Innovation Company category for her marketing work for the Maroochydore Homemaker Centre.

Other CBRE finalists were Amanda Longmuir and Narelle Dorigo for Marketing Campaign of the Year Associate Member and Shane Cook and Ryan Arrowsmith for Agent of the Year.   

CBRE’s National Head of Retail Property Management & Leasing Sheree Griff said the LFRA recognitions highlight the strength and expertise of CBRE’s property management team.

“In addition to these wins, we were very proud to be a part of celebrating Harvey Norman's win for Development of the Year for Port Stephens Homemaker. This was a project that we were invited to be involved in from the beginning and took pride in taking on as a new management when it opened in March 2023 as a first-to-market LFR centre in the region” Ms Griff said. 

“It's moments like this that we can pause, take it all in and be very proud of each of our winners and finalists. CBRE is leading the way in Property Management and these awards recognise our team’s expertise, professionalism and ability to deliver for our clients, particularly to the retail sector.”
