CBRE has announced senior appointments across two countries as retail brands and developers target future expansion opportunities.
Former Melbourne-based CBRE Director Ryan Arrowsmith has relocated to the United States to join CBRE’s Retail Services team. In his new, Dallas-based role he will focus on building a tenant representation portfolio servicing international brands expanding into the United States.
In turn, CBRE Associate Director Ethan Schofield will be moving from Sydney to Melbourne to assume Mr Arrowsmith’s prior role leading CBRE’s Victorian Large Format Retail (LFR) team.
CBRE’s National Large Format Retail Director Shane Cook said the appointments highlighted the opportunities for talented individuals to advance their careers in CBRE’s global business.
“Since joining CBRE in 2014, Ryan has built a highly successful retail leasing career, with roles in both Sydney and Melbourne. His Dallas move will build on this experience, targeting Australian brands looking at US expansion while also serving new CBRE clients,” Mr Cook said.
Mr Schofield joined CBRE’s Sydney LFR business six years ago and had been the obvious choice for the Victorian leadership role, Mr Cook said.
“Ethan has been one of the leading brokers in our national LFR team. In his new role he will be focusing on the strong LFR development pipeline in Victoria, while further enhancing CBRE’s national market coverage,” Mr Cook noted.
Mr Schofield said the Victorian LFR market was in a state of equilibrium, which was expected to spur higher sales volumes and retailer store growth opportunities, benefitting owners and developers.
