The historic bluestone homestead Ingleby in Winchelsea has been listed for sale via an Expressions of Interest campaign.

The French Provincial style homestead circa 1860, is set on 100 acres at 765 Ingleby Road and offers the purchaser an opportunity to restore and preserve a historic Victorian landmark.

CBRE’s Matt Childs is managing the sale and said he expects the estate’s unique features, versatility and potential will attract strong interest from potential buyers with price expectations circa $3 million.

“Ingleby is not just a property; it's a piece of Victoria's history. The combination of its architectural beauty, significant landholding, and proximity to urban centers while offering a tranquil rural lifestyle makes it an ideal investment,” Mr Childs commented.

“Ingleby's heritage and potential are unparalleled. Whether as a private residence, a boutique hospitality venue, or an agricultural enterprise, the estate offers diverse possibilities for the future owner.”

One of Victoria’s most notable rural estates, Ingleby is situated 90-minutes southwest of Melbourne and 40-minutes west of Geelong. The property features significant frontage to the Barwon River, expansive grounds with established trees, historic outbuildings, productive farmland, and a long tree-lined driveway.

The home and surrounding land have been subdivided from the larger working sheep and cattle farm, which is still owned and run by Winchelsea local Georgie Thomson, who purchased the property in 2020.

Expressions of Interest close on Wednesday 18th September at 4pm (AEST).
