A leading national building supplies business has further strengthened its logistics footprint by committing to a seven-year lease at The GPT Group’s (GPT) industrial facility in outer North West Sydney.

The transaction highlights strong ongoing demand for high-quality industrial assets, with the scale, accessibility and functionality of the 11,305.6sqm facility at the Huntingwood property identified as an ideal solution for the occupier’s needs

CBRE’s John Micallef, Moshe Greengarten and Cameron Grier negotiated the lease for 1B Huntingwood Drive on behalf of GPT.

Mr Micallef said the property stood out in a tightly held market due to its versatility and ability to support efficient distribution operations.

“This asset provided a rare combination of scale and functionality, allowing the incoming tenant to significantly enhance its distribution capabilities while positioning itself strategically within Sydney’s outer north west industrial corridor,” Mr Micallef said.

Mr Greengarten added that CBRE had been working closely with the occupier to identify a suitable property, with this opportunity exceeding expectations.

“While the facility offered a larger footprint than initially sought, its drive-around access and operational efficiencies made it an outstanding fit. The ability to secure a long-term commitment at this location reflects both the strength of the asset and continued tenant demand for well-located, high-quality industrial accommodation,” Mr Greengarten said.

GPT Head of Asset Management, Logistics, Greg Long, says, “We’re pleased to welcome the new tenant to 1B Huntingwood Drive, offering a high-quality facility to support and grow operations in one of Sydney’s most sought-after industrial precincts.  The seven-year commitment is a clear endorsement of both the strength of this asset and the value GPT continues to deliver as a long-term partner to our customers.”

Developed by GPT in 2018, the facility features drive-around access, internal clearance ranging from 12.2 to 13.7 metres, and generous exclusive hardstand, making it suitable for a wide range of users. The property attracted strong interest, underscoring the ongoing appeal of prime industrial stock in Sydney’s North West.
