One of Australia’s most luxurious island resorts set to sell

The iconic Bedarra Island Resort and adjoining Hideaway parcel, renowned for its luxury, exclusivity and coveted title as the only freehold island resort in Australia, is set to hit the market.

CBRE Hotels’ Tom Gibson and Wayne Bunz have been exclusively appointed to manage the sale via an International Expression of Interest campaign.

The offering encompasses two distinct components, the award-winning barefoot luxury Bedarra Island Resort that occupies 45 hectares on the eastern side of the island and the adjoining Hideaway parcel with 35-hectares of clean-slate for expansion.

Opened in 1986, Bedarra Island Resort offers guests an intimate, all-inclusive experience with just 12 private villas. One of the most successful luxury lodges in Australia, the property operates with consistently high occupancies and market leading repeat guest patronage. The property has the unique proposition of both north and south facing beaches, natural tropical rainforest gardens, and fringing coral reefs.

Since its inception in the market, Bedarra Island Resort has won a number of world tourism awards from Condé Nast Traveler’s ‘The Best All-Inclusive Resort in the World’ to Five Star Alliances’ ‘Best Island Luxury All-Inclusive Award’.
