One of the largest privately owned rural landholdings in the Sydney Basin listed for sale for the first time in six decades

A major Hawkesbury landholding owned by the same family for over 60 years is being brought to market in a move tipped to generate broad ranging investor interest.

“Googooerwon” is one of the largest single, privately owned rural landholdings near Sydney.

Nick Connor and Thomas Quinn of CBRE’s Agribusiness team have been appointed to steer the sale of the 1,110 hectare property, which is situated within its own private valley near Wisemans Ferry, approximately 90 minutes drive from the Sydney CBD.

The landholding has been utiltised for livestock and lifestyle pursuits and benefits from around nine kilometres of frontage to Webbs Creek.

“The property is underpinned by a C4 Environmental living zoning, which allows for a variety of future uses and potential biodiversity opportunities,” Mr Quinn said.

Current improvements include two dwellings, several machinery sheds and cattle yards.

Mr Connor noted that Googoorewon was adjoined by national parks, offering complete privacy, seclusion and tranquillity, while allowing for activities including horse riding, fishing, camping, bushwalking, swimming, kayaking, rock climbing and farming.
