New leadership for CBRE’s WA Office Leasing team

In a changing of the guard, James Phelan has succeeded Andrew Denny as the new leader of CBRE’s Office Leasing team in Western Australia.

After an exceptional property career, including more than 30 years at CBRE, Mr Denny has stepped away from the leadership role to focus on transactions, client relationships and mentoring.

CBRE’s WA Senior Managing Director Lincoln Delahunt said, “James’ appointment highlights our commitment to developing our next generation of leaders. Succession planning is a business-critical activity and it’s even more challenging when it involves someone of Andrew's calibre, given his long stewardship and remarkable track record. In appointing James, we identified him as the readymade successor given his leadership qualities, strong reputation and deep understanding of the Perth leasing market.”

Mr Phelan brings over 16 years of agency experience and has been a key member of CBRE’s WA Office Leasing team for the past six years.

“I’m excited to manage CBRE’s Office Leasing business in Western Australia. The team has over 85 years of combined experience and has never been in a stronger position. I look forward to building on this success working alongside Andrew and the rest of the team,” Mr Phelan said.
